The new kid in panel four is Maria’s little brother, who we’ll be hearing from next week. If you don’t know what they’re watching, uh, spoiler alert for Buffy season six?
I overheard someone today complaining about people “over-analyzing” films and TV shows. She said, “The more you know about something, the harder it is to enjoy!” Silly me. I’ve been liking things wrong all these years by thinking about them. If you’re not allowing yourself to think critically about the media you’re enjoying, what the heck is it doing for you? What are you getting out of it? Is your enjoyment really hindered by having independent thoughts? If so, we have different definitions of the word “enjoyment”. I don’t know. That’s the end of my ranting for the week.
Edit: As it turns out, there is an internet law about this very complaint! Thanks, internet.

↓ TranscriptA doorbell rings.
MARIA: I've got the door!
WREN: Uh, hey.
MARIA: Hey. Um. I'm sorry if I...
WREN: ...sniff...
MARIA: ...are you ok?
WREN: I think C-Candice and I just b-broke up! Buh huh huh...
MARIA: Oh honey, I'm so sorry. Come on inside, I'll prepare the therapy.
WREN: Sniff.
MARIA: Their love was so beautiful.
TV: Your shirt...
TV: Tara!?

“I’ll prepare the therapy” is now one of my favourite lines in anything ever. Hilarious!
I seriously love this comic! After years of absence from webcomics… I am full of squee! I totally want to befriend all of your characters 🙂
Oh geez, right there with you! Unquestionably the saddest moment of that season (in my mind, of all of Buffy). Cry on Wren, let it out.
